Reality, not TV, for 43,000 young Australians πŸŽ’

Every day, 43,000 children and young people experiencing homelessness in Australia face unsafe and isolating conditions. Survival isn’t entertainment for them. It’s their reality. A reality that no one is watching. Not governments, not media, or the general public. We worked with Yfoundations to help change this by launching something Australians would watch - a confronting new reality TV show that showed the daily battles of young people struggling to survive in one of the richest countries in the world.

We launched with a trailer and a series of teasers for the new β€œshow” across TV, social and cinema.

We went deeper into each of our β€œcontestants” stories through a series of social films and with Creator reaction videos.

The campaign was supported by a national contextual OOH campaign in media kindly donated by publishers.

Young and Alone brought the issue of youth homelessness into the national conversation.

Two weeks after the launch of Young and Alone the Australian Federal Government announced the first ever Special Envoy for Youth Homelessness and Housing to fix the problem.
